In this city, all doors open backwards, all windows open inwards, and there are no walls, no ceilings, no floors. There are only windows and doors. If you open this door, you will go back in time; if you open that door, you will travel into the future. And if you look in a window, any window, you're suddenly looking out that very same window. And if you're looking out that very same window, you are suddenly on the outside, looking in.
